About Us

William McGuigan was brought up smuggling audio secrets from the Mediterranean shores to the Middle Eastern islands. He came to america in 2003 to settle a Scottish trade dispute over the fair market value of bloviating bumble bees. McGuigan was formerly a cable, button, and forehead pusher at Ravenswork in Venice where he first became party to the aforementioned trade dispute. He is 5’11” 180 (32,26,36) and has a preference for fig flavored Turkish Delight. In his free time, he works on a freelance basis for a budget thumb-piano salesmen who coincidentally needed his superfluous button pushing abilities at citizen demonstrations.

J. Ferron has a Masters in  Film Scoring and almost a decade as an audio engineer recording, mixing and mastering music accumulating over 500 credits. He's a musician and now a sound designer as well. He decided to make a change and focus more on the film industry (which is his passion) and joined Gypsy Sound.

He brings dedication, professionalism, and creativity to every project. 

Alexandra kern is a filmmaker and photographer whose work explores how we inform the next generation in our complex cultures and how mentors show up in adolescence beyond a family structure.

Growing up in New Orleans has taught her how crucial culture and art is in shaping future generations and how the family extends outside the home. 

She graduated from chapman university’s dodge college of film and media arts with a creative producing summa cum laude degree in 2018. Since graduating she has produced commercial and independent acclaimed projects for artists such as Tyler, the creator, Dua Lipa, and Lil Nas X as well as line producing the 2022 Sundance directing award winner feature Palm Trees and Power Lines. ​

Alexandra is currently working on documentary projects bringing characters with traditions and missions to life through beautiful moments of silence, simplicity, elegance, and emotion.

Nikola has always had a keen sense and awareness of sound. His opera singer mother trained his ear from a young age which led him to an early music-centric life, from singing in an internationally regarded children's chorus and the Los Angeles Opera, to starting punk rock bands in high school and playing warped tour. His second love was movies, and through deep cuts of dvd special features discovered the world of sound design and became completely obsessed. He enrolled in an audio engineering school specifically for post production sound, and has dedicated himself to making sound design his life

Skylar bishil was born in Los Angles and raised in The Middle East, but now calls Los Angeles his home. Music has always been an integral part of his life; he's been playing guitar since the age of nine and over the years has become a talented pianist. He has studied composition under the tutelage of Carlos Raffael Rivera (a faculty member at the university of Miami's Frost School of Music), Don Preston (Mothers of Invention), and Hsintai Liu. Skylar's musical interests range from traditional folk blues to minimalism and his pallet is as diverse as it is original

Meet Justin Gay: a California native who has called Los Angeles his backyard for his entire life. Through his experiences, he has gained a multitude of available resources at his fingertips. Justin started his journey through sound 10 years ago as a musical performer in many different bands throughout the LA area. 5 years later, he found himself on a production set as a sound mixer. In a natural progression, he decided to marry the two together and began his path through the world of post-production. With his knowledge of both studio sound and sound on set, Justin slid comfortably into the engineer seat.

Kevin Bingo Richey. A life-long student and multi-instrumentalist performer of all types of music, Bingo has written, arranged, engineered or produced over fifty albums and played literally thousands of gigs in the last twenty years. From folk to Pop to Punk, from Country to Disco to symphony orchestra - his wide array of musical interests provide a deep well of inspiration for his original and creative compositions. His work as a musician, engineer and producer has taken him to studios all over the US and UK to work with some of the most influential artists and producers in the world. He lives in Joshua Tree and Los Angeles.
