SKYLAR BISHIL WAS BORN IN LOS ANGLES AND RAISED IN THE MIDDLE EAST, BUT NOW CALLS LOS ANGELES HIS HOME. MUSIC HAS ALWAYS BEEN AN INTEGRAL PART OF HIS LIFE; HE'S BEEN PLAYING GUITAR SINCE THE AGE OF NINE AND OVER THE YEARS HAS BECOME A TALENTED PIANIST. HE HAS STUDIED COMPOSITION UNDER THE TUTELAGE OF CARLOS RAFFAEL RIVERA (A FACULTY MEMBER AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI'S FROST SCHOOL OF MUSIC), DON PRESTON (MOTHERS OF INVENTION), AND HSINTAI LIU. SKYLAR'S MUSICAL INTERESTS RANGE FROM TRADITIONAL FOLK BLUES TO MINIMALISM AND HIS PALLET IS AS DIVERSE AS IT IS ORIGINAL
